Tonga is expected to enjoy good weather with light to moderate breezes, and fine partly-cloudy days with a little rain in places, during the Christmas weekend and into early next week, December 25-29.
The National Weather Forecasting Centre at Fua’amotu today forecasted five days ahead that will be fine, apart from cloudy periods for Fua'amotu (Tongatapu) with some light rain forecast for Tuesday. Light to moderate East to southeast winds are forecast for most of the country, apart from the far north where the Niuas will have east to northeast winds at times.
Ha'apai and Vava'u will have cloudy periods with a few showers or light rain.
For Niuatoputapu and Niuafo'ou the forecast is mostly cloudy or overcast with light rain, becoming heavy at times on Sunday in Niuafo'ou.
