    : Tonga's Police Commissioner did not expect any more people would be charged in relation to the death of New Zealand Police Officer Kali Fungavaka in Tonga, but he did not rule out the possibility as the homicide investigation continues. He said the investigation had been done with integrity but that the police still had a long way to go in restoring public confidence.

    : Breast cancer ranks as one of the top 20 causes of death in Tonga and the rate is higher here than in the developed countries because women are leaving it too late to come forward for detection and treatment, speakers at the launch of "Pink October" for public awareness said this morning. A Vaiola Hospital surgeon Dr Saia Piukala called for traditional and religious healers and all Tongans to become involved in the talanoa on breast cancer in order to save more lives.     : Six male accused, including five Tongan police officers and one detainee, have each been charged with manslaughter at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court this afternoon, and were expected to be released on bail later today, September 27. The three police officers who were arrested today included the supervising officer identified as Inspector Kelepi Hala'ufia, with the two police constables named as Manu Tu'ivai and Tevita Vakalahi.
