Nuku'alofa, Tonga : On-line training has been introduced to the Short Term Training Program of the Prime Miniser’s Office. The on-line training, in affiliation with the Illawarra Institute of New South Wales, Australia, was officially launched by the Prime Minister HRH Prince ‘Ulukalala Lavka Ata at the end of April at the Distance Education and Communication Center, Pahu. Nuku‘alofa, Tonga : Two Israeli eye specialists, Dr Iris Moros and Dr Yair Elhalal were in Tonga conducting an on site ‘eye camp’ at Vaiola Hospital, Nuku‘alofa. During their stay from April 22 to May 1, they carried out 26 eye operations, and laser treatment of diabetes patients with eye problems, and looked at other needs of Tongan eye patients.
