Tonga's late King Taufa‘ahau Tupou IV will return home tomorrow. Upon the arrival of Tupou IV's body at the Fua...’amotu International Airport tomorrow at 3.30 pm Tongans will begin six-days and six-nights of a State Funeral.

His Majesty's contributions to our Tonga made Him a beacon of hope and placed him in an inimitable and incomparable position. Following a Tonga Privy Council lunchtime meeting the Prince Regent was sworn in as king and he is now Tupou V, according to Australian media. Information released by the Prime MInister's Office to Australian media confirmed that the funeral date would be Tuesday next week after the king lies in state for five days at the Palace.

The date of Tonga's Royal Funeral has yet to be made official, but observers awaiting an official announcement today are forecasting a Saturday or Sunday burial for the late King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV.
