Jailed former Cabinet Ministers ‘Etuate Lavulavu and his wife ‘Akosita, were freed by the Appeal Court today, when their criminal convictions were quashed, in a successful appeal that found their trial was unfair. However, the Appeal Court was satisfied there was sufficient evidence to support convictions and remitted their cases for a retrial at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court.
