Outstanding performances by Tonga’s Taekwondo Team have earned the country six medals - 3 Gold and 3 Silver - at the New Zealand Kukkiwon Cup 2023 competition, held from 19-20 August, in New Zealand.
"The future looks bright for Team Tonga Taekwondo," stated Tonga National Taekwondo Association.
The athletes who represented Tonga, were coached by Paula Sitapa (Master Paul), competed at the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, in Auckland.
Gold medalists were Feaomoeuini Nai, Pauline Lolohea, and ‘Isikeli Sitapa, while Fapiola ‘Alamoti received 2 Silver medals and Samuela Moala one Silver medal.
