Tonga’s Under 20’s team have taken the win (20-19) in their first match of the 2022 Oceania Rugby Under 20’s Trophy match, against Samoa at Teufaiva Stadium, Nuku'alofa, on 29 November.

The Women’s team defeated Solomon Islands 21 – 0 while the Men’s team defeated American Samoa with 6 tries to 1. The Women’s team lost its two other matches to Australia 45 - 5 and Fiji 36 – 0. The Men’s team lost to PNG 28 – 10 and Fiji 42 – 19.
