It's a tradition for festive Brass Bands to play around Tonga homes over Christmas and New Year. Out spreading joy for New Year's Eve was Tailulu College's brass band from Havelu who were performing all day and finished up at Ma'ufanga.
Swimmers flocked to the beaches and the sea swimming pool in Nuku'alofa today. The hot sunny weather this week is forecast to continue for the first few days of 2025 over most of Tonga. Rain is unlikely until Sunday and the good news is that no cyclones are forecast for the first week of the New Year for Tonga.
