I recall several peeps –
I recall several peeps – considered to be pillars of the aid community/ customs fraternity and regional civil servants - describing Mr Bloomfield's departure from the Republic of Fiji as “rather hurried and under a cloud.” When Mr B. was appointed CEO of the Kingdom’s Ministry of Revenue and Customs, I assumed that the necessary due diligence required had been carried out by those responsible before B’s appointment. I sure made the wrong assumption, big time. So, hat tips to the Kingdom's judiciary for excellent work. Bouquets to the Matangi Tonga Editor and journalists for such a well written, informative and enlightening article. May B. be treated kindly by the military-led Fiji Government when he arrives in the Republic.
