Few visitors want to travel in a DC3

London, United Kingdom

As a prospective visitor from the United Kingdom intending to stay in your Kingdom during January 05 I had hoped that after the demise of Royal Tongan Airlines the authorities would have learnt some basic lessons.

However this latest debacle as reported in your web newsletter appears to contradict good common sense and I regret that I shall never visit your beautiful Kingdom until such issues are resolved and travellers have the confidence in the authorities to "get their act together".

Very few travellers today would wish to be forced to travel in a 50 year old DC3 rather than a modern Dash aircraft because of internal domestic politics and nepotism.

I wish the people of Tonga good luck - I will be sorry to miss you.

Regards

David Chapman
