A man who was shot on the leg in Holonga, Vava'u, early Friday morning, July 21 was hospitalized at Vaiola Hospital after being flown to Tongatapu for treatment.

Nine male police officers have been suspended from Tonga Police for criminal and disciplinary matters. Another 16 criminal investigations are currently underway against other police officers.

A health survey conducted by Stanford University reveals how physically active populations around the world are, and Hong Kong is rated as having the most active citizens in the world walking 6,880 steps daily on average. Although Tonga was not included in the survey, the findings somewhat correlate to some of its issues such as obesity and physical activity.
