The Tonga Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams both managed to get a win on Day 1 of the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championships today November 11. The Women’s team defeated Solomon Islands 21 – 0 while the Men’s team defeated American Samoa with 6 tries to 1. The Women’s team lost its two other matches to Australia 45 - 5 and Fiji 36 – 0. The Men’s team lost to PNG 28 – 10 and Fiji 42 – 19.
