Japan grants USD $15.2 million for Vaini Solar Project

Tonga Power Ltd has secured a grant from the Japanese government to fully fund a solar power project in Vaini. The grant of 1,573,000,000 Yen equates to roughly over USD$15.2 Million.

This grant allows Tonga to develop renewable energy on a reasonable scale. It is funding like this which makes a difference, unlike just forwarding the money to the government and hope it reaches it's destination.
It would be good for Yachiyo Engineering Company to employs some locals to assist in this worthy endeavour.
