Papua New Guinea dominated the final medal tally at the 2013 Pacific Mini-Games in Wallis and Futuna, which came to a close last week on September 12. Tonga’s two gold medallists are Decathlon Athlete Toutouofa Vea (22) and Heptathlon Athlete Mafikovi Akanete (19).

Mata-Utu, Wallis and Futuna
A relieved Tonga’s Rugby 7’s team has won a bronze medal at the 2013 Pacific Mini-Games in Wallis Island (‘Uvea) after defeating Papua New Guinea 19 -12 on Wednesday. Samoa took gold after defeating Fiji 31-12.
