Tonga’s National Netball Team, the Tala, has won two of its games at the PacificAus Sports Netball Series currently being held at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Tonga’s National Netball Team Tala has come out of the Oceania Netball Qualifiers not only undefeated but momentus, as it will take Tonga to its first ever Netball World Cup 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. "This victory is huge for us as a team and for our country. With everything that Tonga has been through this year with the volcanic eruption, tsunami and covid, it was a way to send hope and joy to our country." said captain Hulita Haukinima Veve.

Tala, Tonga’s National Netball Team defeated Samoa 69-52 in the first game of its campaign at the World Cup 2023 Oceania Regional Qualifiers this week in Suva.

Tonga Netball has qualified for the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup for the first time confirmed Tonga Netball Association CEO, Salote Sisifa today. It is scheduled to be held in Fiji sometime next year.
