A new classroom building constructed by the Government of Japan for the students at Hofoa Government Primary School, was commissioned on Friday, September 7.

Fifty-eight students in vocational and tertiary training will receive scholarships worth more than $30,000 pa'anga for their tuition fees this year, from the Tonga Development Bank.

Classroom furniture valued at more than NZD$100,000 was donated by the New Zealand Government to Tonga's Ministry of Education as part of it's efforts to assist recovery after Cyclone Gita.
