Tomorrow, 1 May, retail prices for petrol, kerosene and diesel will decrease by 10 seniti/litre in Tongatapu, as approved by the Tonga Competent Authority (TCA).

Only one petrol station in Tonga complies fully with the business requirements of the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development, the Minister Hon. Kapelieli Lanumata told media this afternoon. He threatened to shut down all of the bowsers that did not meet the standards required, citing lax safety compliance at most of the stations.

Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala launched a new Cool Storage and Solar Powered Facility for farm produce located at Nishi Trading, ‘Utulau, Tongatapu, today. The facility will help farmers store their products at controlled temperatures while awaiting shipment.
