Commencing August 15 the price of all international air tickets for passengers departing the Kingdom of Tonga will increase by $30 due to the inclusion of a $10 Security Fee and a $20 Airport Development Fee. This is in addition to the $25 Passenger Service Charge collected at departure.

'Amelia Latuniua Taumoepeau-Tupou (62) passed away at the Vaiola Hospital, in Nuku'alofa yesterday, August 12, after an illness. A sister of the Queen Mother, her death comes less than three weeks after the loss of another sister Kalolaine Lataifalefehi Fakafanua on July 26.
