A relieved Tonga’s Rugby 7’s team has won a bronze medal at the 2013 Pacific Mini-Games in Wallis Island (‘Uvea) after defeating Papua New Guinea 19 -12 on Wednesday. Samoa took gold after defeating Fiji 31-12.

The Chinese Embassy in Nuku’alofa came out for the first time today to state that its gifted MA60 aircraft to Tonga was verified by China’s aviation airworthiness standard, and that while it satisfies requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the manufacturer had not applied for certifications in countries where it did not operate.
