Malia Kolokiloloma Fanua was found guilty of six counts, that included forging her exam results in order to get further funding from Tonga Police, while studying for a Bachelor of Arts, at the University of the South Pacific Tonga campus, including forging her marks for the subject of “Legal Ethics”.

The University of the South Pacific-Tonga campus welcomed HM King Tupou VI for the commissioning of their new Kukū Kaunaka Collection of academic theses by Tongan scholars, in a closed event on November 14. In a statement, USP said: “It was indeed a most humbling and significant event as Tonga USP staff marked the 50th anniversary of the USP service in the region and in Tonga.”

A complete collection of the Matangi Tonga magazine and the 'Eva, Your Guide to Tonga magazine, spanning nearly two decades of printed publication, was presented to the University of the South Pacific Tonga campus library today by the New Zealand High Commissioner HE Dr Jonathan Austin, who said these important records of events are an invaluable historical resource for Tongans.
