A fire razed a classroom building for Forms 1-3 at Niuafo’ou High School on Wednesday 21 September at around 3:00pm. Teachers and students used water to stop the fire from spreading to the nearby office, saving the computers and supplies. No-one was injured.

Strong wind warnings are currently in place for all land and sea areas of Vava’u and the Niuas as Tropical Cyclone Amos slowly intensifies and tracks towards the Niuas and Samoa today, warns the Tonga Meteorology Department.
