Position Role Overview & Requirements
General Manager Administration

The General Manager Administration will oversee the Human Resources and Administration
sub-section of the Corporate Services Division. This role involves strategic planning, operational support, and
providing advice to Senior Management on administrative matters such as staff management and financial
planning. The goal is to maximize the productivity of the Authority by optimizing employee effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Management, Human Resources, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
  • Master’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or Business Administration is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior managerial role in Administration & HR.
  • Experience in facilitating, preparing, and delivering in-house training.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
  • Experience in recruitment and performance management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet literacy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong report and letter writing skills.
Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will develop and execute HR strategies that align with the
organization’s objectives. This role includes overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance
management, compensation, training, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will foster a positive
work environment, promote employee engagement, and support the organization’s mission by encouraging
collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR Certification is highly desirable.
  • 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
First Mate - MV Olovaha

The First Mate is responsible for managing the deck department, navigation watch-standing,
cargo operations, safety and firefighting operations, environmental protection, and acting as a vessel security
officer and medical officer. This position reports directly to the Master of MV Olovaha Tugboat and works with
other crew members to ensure efficient and cost-effective marine services.

Technical Requirements

  • Marine Master Class 4 certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a First Mate.
  • 7 years of work experience in related areas.
  • Comprehensive understanding of navigational principles, maritime laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in safety procedures, including firefighting and emergency response.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vessel maintenance.
  • Expertise in ship handling and docking operations.
  • Familiarity with marine pollution prevention and environmental compliance.
  • Certification in survival crafts and rescue boats.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent communication skills.
