Frustrated by PRs flip
Frustrated by PRs flip-flopping - Mafi ‘o Amerika Samoa: To my fellow Tongans, in light of the “flip flop diplomacy” demonstrated by your Representatives at the Parliament, please join me saying:
We the naive and the uninformed, Led by the arrogant and ungrateful PRs, Will have to suffer another three years wondering, Where did we go wrong, Fooled again by our own choice.
I warned you in the past that some of the PRs were snakes in the grass and their major concern is themselves: how to stay in power, how to remain richly employed as long as they could to maintain the status quo. Please open up your ears and wake up and see how they operate for they have fooled all of you, again. Take just two examples:
1. Tongatapu's Representatives all voted for sale of Power Generation and Distribution to a private “Shoreline” company. They later made an about face and wanted it back. Now they are not sure if they really want to do that.
2. After all the fighting for a political change, which evidently resulted in the burning of Nuku'alofa, now one of them is saying that the present system is the best.
The Temo PR's have assured you that there cannot be a change to anything in Tonga -for example, the rising cost of living, the increase in unemployment, the breaking apart of family, cultural and social institutions - until there is a change to the current political status. Check out the global arena my fellow Tongans, the Middle Eastern countries have said the same thing for years; there will not be peace in the region until there is a change to the existence of the State of Israel. Libya, Saudi Arabia and others woke up just a few years ago after thousands of their people had been killed in the conflict to accept coexistence with Israel. Since then we can see peace and outstanding economic development in these countries. Lebanon, is slowly adopting the same “let's get along mentality”. Should our representatives be trusted with the future of our country and our children? - Mafi ‘o Amerika Samoa
