1. Senior Finance Management Officer
The public are hereby advised and invited to apply for a vacancy available within the Tonga Fire and Emergency Services. The job vacancies include One (1) Senior Finance Management Officer.
The position for Senior Finance Management Officer will hold the rank of full time Senior Firefighter at Salary Band M ($17,171 - $25,757)
Minimum Requirement (Qualification & Experience)
1) Applicants who wish to apply to the vacancy of Senior Finance Management Officer shall obtain the following: -
- Relevant Diploma Level 5/6 TNQAB framework in Accounting and relevant fields, + up to 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Relevant certificate level 4 in Accounting and relevant fields + 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)

2. Second-in-Charge (2IC) for Investigations Services Unit

The position for Second-in-Charge (2IC) for Investigations Services Unit will hold the rank of full time Senior Firefighter at Salary Band M ($17,171 - $25,757)
Minimum Requirement (Qualification & Experience)
2) Applicants who wish to apply to the vacancy of Second-in-Charge (2IC) for Investigations Services Unit shall obtain the following: -
- Relevant Diploma Level 5/6 TNQAB framework in Investigations and relevant fields, + up to 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Relevant certificate level 4/trade/technical qualification in Investigations and relevant fields + 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
Applicants are hereby advised to please take into consideration on the following working conditions prior to submission of your application: -
- Have knowledge of the functions and roles of Tonga Fire and Emergency Services;
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable if posted to work either 24-hours under the Operation Division or working 8-hours per day at other divisions of the Services;
- Fulfill firefighting training.
- Response to emergency calls (small/large scale disasters)
