New clinical waste treatment plant for Vaiola Hospital

A state-of-the-art medical waste treatment unit at Vaiola Hospital, the Vaiola Hospital Ecosteryl Unit, was commissioned by the Australian High Commission and Tonga’s Ministry of Health on 3 April, at Vaiola Hospital in Nuku'alofa. This equipment will allow hazardous and infectious materials to be disposed of in a safe, sustainable way.
