The ‘Tongan Goddess’, Nailini Helu will now take on the current IBF light heavyweight champion, Lani Daniels on a rescheduled date at the Taupō Events Centre, New Zealand, on 10 May 2025.

Originally, the match was scheduled for 5 April however, the venue is under construction and will not be ready by then, the promoter of Ironfist Promotions, Nigel Elliott, was informed.

A few changes have also been made due to the pushback of the dates including an additional boxing bout and a possible tag-team kickboxing tournament.

This also gives both Nailini Helu and Lani Daniels extra preparation time.

However, Benjamin Watt said that both boxers are experienced professionals and they know that any more than the traditional 12 weeks training camp, will risk overtraining and burnout.

“Any more can run the risk of overtraining and burnout which would result in poor performance on the night,” he said.

A corporate and amateur boxing will also be added to the undercard.
