Police seize meth, cannabis, and cash in multiple drug raids

Tonga Police officers seized several packs of methamphetamine, cannabis, cash and drug-related utensils in Tonga over the past week.

The Drugs Taskforce conducted a series of targeted raids across Tonga, when multiple arrests for drug-related offenses were made. Tonga Police said they were acting on reports from the community about several individuals in possession of illicit drugs, drug utensils and cash linked to these activities.

During the operation, the officers seized 27 packs of methamphetamine (5.12g), TOP$1,160 in cash, seven packs of cannabis (2.27g), $132 pa'anga in cash, pack of cannabis (15.75g), $37 pa'anga in cash, and various drug-related utensils.

"The suspects involved in these raids are currently in custody while police investigations continue," stated Tonga Police.

"Drug use and trafficking are serious threats to our community. Tonga Police is urging anyone with information associated with drug use to report it."
