Tonga to play Ireland in first RWC game

Tonga Rugby Union announced ‘Ikale Tahi will begin their RWC 2023 campaign against Ireland, on Saturday 16 September, at the Stade de la Beaujoire stadium, in Nantes, France.

There will be world wide attention on this game as Ireland is ranked as No. 1 on the World Rugby world ranking, with 91.82 points, while Tonga is ranked 15^th with 70.29 points.

The team has been continuing their preparation in France.
