A new political party in Tonga, the People’s National Party – Paati Tufunga Fonua ‘a e Kakai was launched at the Tanoa Hotel, Nuku’alofa on Saturday, 9 June 2018.

I'm not sure there's room for
I'm not sure there's room for another party in Tonga as they will have to differentiate themselves from other political parties to find their segment of the markets. PTOA needs to be challenged though but I'm worried that there maybe too many parties and the vote will be fragmented.
Reading a story from your archives I note that Sione Fonua also started the Langafonua party roughly ten years ago. He has failed in his attempts to be elected to parliament so I'm not sure if unsuccessful candidates are the best people to lead a political party.
