Drug related crime are on the
Drug related crime are on the increase. What can society in Tonga or in any pacific island nation do to curb this epidemic that is playing havoc with the lives of the populace. Tonga has a big problem due to the vastness of area and the distance between islands, making it hard to police. This makes it easy for drug runners to smuggle in seeds and equipment for the production of all kinds of illicit drugs, it also gives them a better chance of moving the stuff off shore without detection. The leaders of government must do something to reduce the spread of this horrific plague that is gnawing at the very core of Tongan society. Harsher penalties? Educate both the young and adults, the young whilst at school the adults through church meeting. Do something to combat this evil, that is tightening its strangle hold on both the young and old alike. A drowning man will grab at a straw , people are poor, dealing in illicit drug , racking in BIG money and its not hard labour , the temptation is too great to resist ! The law must be more vigilant and use any means available at their disposable to slow this evil tide that is threatening to destroy our way of life , cut off its head now , than gather in the rest of it body gradually and Burn it. Unfortunately it can't be eradicated immediately but at least bring it under control, God help us if we Don't !!!!!!!!!!
