Tonga’s newly elected government remains an unofficially confirmed list of names, despite the fact that the 2018 session was officially opened on 11 January with an "in-house session". The swearing of new Members of Parliament and selected Cabinet Ministers is now scheduled to take place on Thursday, 18 January.

This is a weird form of
This is a weird form of government coming into power. Shouldn't the parliament wait till the PM is out of hospital to formalize his government? Who decides on the opening of parliament without formalizing the government first. The taxpayers of Tonga are entitled to know. Or is parliament no longer about a formal government but just MPs dipping into the financial resources supplied by the poor people of Tonga?
