The system is moving west-northwest at about 7 knots (14km/hr) and it is likely to become a tropical cyclone in the next 12-24 hours.

Tropical depression 22f was located near latitude 15. 1 south, longitude 172.7 west or about 145km northeast of Niuatoputapu or 310km east of Niuafo'ou at 1:00pm this afternoon. The system is moving west-northwest at about 7 knots (14km/hr) and it is likely to become a tropical cyclone in the next 12-24 hours.
