A Motion for a Vote of No Confidence in the Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva was received by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Lord Tu’ivakano, yesterday, Thursday, February 2.
The notice was submitted together with the Motion and supporting documents, said Gloria Pole'o Chief Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.
“More information on the matter will be provided upon the completion of internal proceedings being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga,” she stated today.
