Following a Tonga Privy Council lunchtime meeting the Prince Regent was sworn in as king and he is now Tupou V, according to Australian media. Information released by the Prime MInister's Office to Australian media confirmed that the funeral date would be Tuesday next week after the king lies in state for five days at the Palace.
