A one-day workshop on cross border dispute resolution in the Pacific Islands and International Trade was held in Nuku'alofa on Tuesday, 15 September.

A motion/resolution by Lord Tu‘ilakepa to try to put the position of the Prime Minister's Personal Assistant under the civil service, was rejected by the Tongan Parliament yesterday, 8 September. Tonga’s Prime Minister, Hon. ‘Akilisi Pohiva told the Parliament yesterday, 26 August, he wants commercial banks to reduce their interest rates and keep their profit margins to less than $2 million pa’anga per annum. “If not, tell them to go,” he said.
