WHITE 'Faka-Sepitema' today, September 22, in Tonga saw hundreds of women members of the Church of Tonga dressed in white, gathering for their annual roll call. The women lay preachers answered their call at the Free Church of Tonga located across from the Royal Tombs and the Church of Tonga Hou'eiki at Kilikali on Fatafehi Road on this special day held once a year.

The Kingdom of Tonga has given notice that it wishes to terminate the joint venture agreement supporting the weekly Air New Zealand service connecting Nuku'alofa and 'Apia with Los Angeles. The service will be suspended at the end of January 2011.

The Public Service Commission has to date, not received any resignations from public servants who are planning to run as candidates in Tonga's General Election on November 25.
