Tonga's Prime Minister Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva died in the Auckland City Hospital at 9:00am this morning, the Acting Prime MInister Hon. Semisi Sika, announced on national radio at 6:40pm this evening. The Tongan Parliament this morning was deferred indefinitely by the Acting Speaker Lord Tu’ilakepa.

Mate Ma’a Tonga with Kristian Woolf as coach reached the semi-finals at the Rugby League World Cup in 2017, the highest achievement ever reached by a Tongan Rugby League Team.
