Three newlyweds tied the knot this afternoon, 16 December 2024, at the Registry Office, in Nuku’alofa, joining the rush before government offices close at the end of this week for Christmas holidays.

Maka Kelilopa Vaka’uta (64) was jailed for four months on five counts including possession 0.28 grams of methamphetamine, 0.42 grams of cannabis and ammunition, in bush allotments at Hoi, Tongatapu.

Thomas Liiv was found guilty of four charges, including possession of 7.60 grams of cannabis, a .22 pistol and numerous ammunition without a license, which was seized by Police in Puke, Tongatapu.
