Taulanga Nonu was jailed for five and a half years for serious housebreaking, theft and serious arson of the Teta Tours building in the Central Business District. His co-accused, Molitoni Moimoi was sentenced to three years and two months in jail. The Lord Chief Justice considered that Nonu had destroyed property worth no less than $1 million, while Moimoi had a deplorable history of previous offending.

Sione Fakalelei Valuvalu Manu received one-year six-months suspended prison sentence for serious arson, when fuelled by alcohol and anger he set fire to a house, which he occupied with his family in June 2018.

An angry, drunken man who wilfully set fire to a relative's house at Tatakamotonga, Tongatapu, was found guilty of serious arson, in the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court on 14 June.
