Only one petrol station in Tonga complies fully with the business requirements of the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development, the Minister Hon. Kapelieli Lanumata told media this afternoon. He threatened to shut down all of the bowsers that did not meet the standards required, citing lax safety compliance at most of the stations.

Dr. Viliami Uasike Latu and his Ministry launched the first National Standardisation Roadmap for Tonga today, 19 June, at the Liku’alofa Centre, Tofoa. This roadmap will help to implement quality standards for development in Tonga, in partnership with Pacer Plus and Standards Australia.
