The Melbourne Rebels have honoured Amanaki Mafi with an award for best player for the season. The award was voted on by all members of the Melbourne Rebels team. The former Tonga College boy only started playing for the Melbourne Rebels this year.

Amanaki Mafi will make his Super Rugby debut for the Melbourne Rebels against the Auckland Blues tomorrow in the first round of the Super Rugby Season. He was named in the starting lineup alongside fellow Tongan born Rebel teammate Lopeti Timani.
