Position Minimum Requirements Salary

1. Police Chaplain
(Admin Grade I)

Chief of Staff’s Command

  • Ecclesiastically certified.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in ministry.
  • Minimum qualification in counselling will be considered favourably.

Additional Requirements

  • No criminal record.
  • Person in good standing with quality references.
  • Endorsed as suitable by the National Forum of Church Leaders.
  • Demonstrated interest in law enforcement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • General health to allow for proper performance in the role.

Band L:
$22,133 - $33,194

2. Police Nurse
(Admin Grade I)

Chief of Staff’s Command

  • Current registration with the relevant nursing authority as a registered nurse.
  • Bachelor's Degree in General Nursing and a minimum of five years of practice, contemporary experience, and knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines:

➢ Occupational medicine
➢ Practice nursing,
➢ Travel medicine,
➢ Public health,
➢ Community health.

  • Current First Aid & CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it.
  • Immunization qualification.
  • Availability to undertake domestic travel as required.
  • Maintenance of required qualifications.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly establish effective and reliable rapport with Tonga Police employees.
  • Demonstrated high-level emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver against business outcomes.

Band L:
$22,133 - $33,194

Starting salary point to be commensurate
with qualifications
and experience
brought to the role
