A 29-year-old male from Mapelu was arrested and charged by Tonga Police in relation to drug offences on 17 January 2026.
The man has been charged with possession of illicit drugs (methamphetamine) and possession of drug-relation utensils.
Along with the drugs and utensils, Tonga Police also seized “an amount of cash” during the operation.
Tonga Police said they are committed to combatting the illegal use and distribution of illicit drugs and encourage the public to continue to report any information that may assist in preventing drug-related activities within communities.
