A group of ten officers from Tonga Police departed on Saturday, 10 May, for Brisbane Australia, embarking on a four-week training program that is accredited by the United Nations.

Following this initial phase, officers who successfully complete the training will participate in an additional one-week program focused on specific job duties within UN peacekeeping operations, for UN deployments across the world.

“This training will help prepare our officers to take part in UN peacekeeping missions and support the role of Tonga Police in international policing,” Tonga Police stated.
