Touring six Pacific countries, a group pacific dancers, the Projekt Team will arrive in Tonga next week, to host a dance competition the ‘Pacific Ring’ qualifiers, on 28 February at the Digicel Square in Nuku’alofa.
The team will also conduct a dance workshop/class for interested dancers at the Fitlife Tonga Gym after they arrive on Wednesday, 26 February. For a fee, the team will teach four dance styles including Locking and Wacking, Breaking, Krump and Hiphop Freestyle. They will showcase their skills on 28 February, before the dance battle begins on Friday.
There is an entry fee for dancers who are eager to participate in the battle but dance battle will be free for the public to watch.
The winner of the dance battle competition, will receive the opportunity to compete against other Pacific dancers in the Pacific Ring finals, which will be held in New Zealand.
The Projekt Team includes eight members with Pacific ancestry, with three members having familial ties to Tonga, they call themselves, Marshmelee, Nay Nay, Simba, Happy Feet, Princess Brui5ser, Twin Watch:Min, Kokonut and Dina
