Miss Pacific Islands contestants meet judges in first category

Eight contestants for the Miss Pacific Islands 2025 crown, completed the first judging category, a pre-pageant interview on 6 February, in Solomon Islands. The crowning will be held on Saturday 8 February, in Honiara.

The interview allows judges to evaluate each contestantʻs personality, communication skills and overall presence through a series of questions, based on their selected topics.

Meanwhile voting for the popular choice is now underway and you can vote for your favourite contestant on the Miss Pacific Islands Face Book page by clicking on her photo and giving a reaction. The online voting ends at noon on Saturday 8 February, Solomon Islands time, which is 4:00pm Tonga time.

Representing Tonga is Racheal Guttenbeil, who was crowned Miss Heilala on 5 July 2024. She was born and raised in the island of Vava’u with familial ties to Ha’apai and Germany. Racheal graduated with a law degree from USP in April and was admitted to the bar in October last year.

Tonga has won the crown only twice, first in in 1995 (Ma'ata Moungaloa) and again in 2007 (Tessi Leila Toluta’u).

The contestants for the 36th Annual pageant 2025 are:

  • Miss Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai

The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant was developed by the Government of Samoa to promote the many cultures of the Pacific Islands Region.
