Job Title: Chief System Analyst (Band I)

Location: Maamaloa, Vahakolo Road, Nukuʻalofa, Tonga
About the Role:
The Tonga Office of the Auditor General is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Chief System Analyst to oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of all IT systems. This pivotal role will ensure the office’s digital infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of critical IT systems and solutions.
- Manage system upgrades and ensure robust data security protocols.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement technology best practices.
- Oversee IT project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Design and develop ICT plans for the organization.
- Maintain and oversee servers, including data backups, antivirus management, and software installation.
- Ensure the firewall is properly configured and functioning to secure the network.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database for all ICT equipment.
- Ensure network safety, security, and minimal downtime.
- Acquire and maintain workstations, ensuring they are updated and equipped with necessary software and antivirus.
- Train staff on the effective use of ICT equipment and programs to enhance productivity.
- Maintain and update the organization’s website data.
- Install, maintain, and provide training on essential software like TeamMate and QuickBooks.
- Perform timely and effective troubleshooting and resolution of IT-related issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in system analysis or a similar leadership role.
- Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
