Belated Happy Emancipation
Belated Happy Emancipation Day. I pray that our Leaders will begin to treat All Tongans as their equal. With HM KGV gifting a more democratic system to Tongans, I pray that all Tongans are treated with more kindness, love, care and respect by our leaders. As a start our pollies (Oz tok for politicians) might provide details of how the revenue collected from Tonga's citizenry at home and abroad is spent. Accountability is an essential ingredient for a successful Democratic system. How much of the revenue extracted from the toil of the people is spent on paying for the overseas health treatment of our MPs and exorbitant travel allowances? I respectfully suggest that all elected MPs undergo yearly health checks - including psychiatric assessment by Dr Mapa to ensure that we have healthy MPs and bureaucrats doing their best improve the quality of life for ALL. Living the Christian Gospel is much more effective than haranguing biblical verses and exhorting God to solve all the Kingdom's problems.
