Supreme Court quashes sentence against thief

A 42-year-old man, who was sentenced to nine-months imprisonment by the Magistrate’s Court in October for stealing a generator, had his sentence quashed after his appeal to the Supreme Court was allowed.

God judges those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you ". Everyone deserves a second chance, but the perpetrator is 42 old married with children, what was he thinking? he should at least be put on probation for stealing. For stealing is a crime, no matter how we looked at it. Do the crime pay the time? Being lenient could also send the wrong message that one could get away with crime .
