Tonga's law on rape and on
Tonga's law on rape and on all sexual related crimes needs updating. We need to bring the law and punishment in line with Tonga's actual view on those kind of crimes. In some south east asian countries they execute people caught smuggling drugs. To them its a serious problem and they execute smugglers to deter others. Not saying we execute rapists but at least make the punishment related to the crime in the context of Tonga's view on rape. Rape and those kind of crimes are very serious crimes and dangerous to the family unit in our close-knit society, and therefore we should have much longer sentences, and then from there take off a couple years if they cooperate.
